The Wesley Foundation is a Christian community where you don't have to check your brain at the door to explore faith, learn about justice, and ask hard questions. We are a ministry of the United Methodist Church, but you don't have to be a Methodist to join us! Wesley is a community where you don't have to pretend to be ok when you're not. We're an authentic community where you can explore who you are and what you believe without facing judgement. Whether you grew up in a church, or have no idea what you think about the whole Jesus thing, you are welcome here. Every week, we eat together, pray together, and hold each other up in love when things get hard. Whoever you are, and whoever you love, we believe that you are a child of God who is of sacred worth. Come and meet us!
Wesley is a Reconciling Ministry
The Wesley Foundation is proud to be a reconciling ministry, which means that we are a queer inclusive community. We believe that all people are beloved children of God who are of sacred worth. We strive to be a community of love and grace, open to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, races, abilities, diverse economic levels, ages, and personal backgrounds. Whoever you are, whoever you love, you are welcome here.

The Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota is an official student activities group of the University of Minnesota. Check out our constitution below to learn more about how we operate. If you would like to co-sponsor an event, please reach out to our student leaders or adviser/campus minister and we would be happy to consider the opportunity.
What's a United Methodist?
Across the United States, Wesley Foundations can be found on college and university campuses. Named after John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, Wesley Foundations are dedicated campus ministry communities supported by the United Methodist Church. The Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is dedicated to advancing the larger mission of the church, as we seek to make disciples and empower young adults as leaders for the church and the world.
