Wesley's weekly worship service is our most important weekly program where we come together as a community to practice our faith in an open, supportive, and queer friendly environment. We sing, pray, and read Scripture together as a way to create a "caring, inclusive, Christian" community that offers a worship home to all students, regardless of their sexual or gender identity.
Every week, we are hosting an group centered on Biblical discussion. We will use the book “Making Sense of the Bible” by Adam Hamilton as a jumping off point to start dialogue. Students can enjoy coffee and snacks as they meet to discuss various meaningful topics each week. This Bible study offers a unique safe space for students who are unsure or questioning their faith or exploring it for the first time.
Starting at the beginning of the semester, we are hosting a weekly small group geared towards fostering connections between new students! Led by a returning student, this group will provide a place to welcome incoming freshmen into a supportive community and help them transition smoothly into life at the University of Minnesota. Each week, the group will be led in a different discussion topic centering around faith and life at the U of M while enjoying snacks!
